Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript)

What you will do

• Design, build, test, document, monitor, and operate full-stack features across multiple products.
• Develop backend services with NestJS, TypeScript, TypeORM, and PostgreSQL, and frontend features with Next.js and React.
• Modernize the platform by replacing legacy Java/Spring Boot services and extracting functionality from the PHP monolith.
• Deploy containerized services on AWS using Docker, AWS CDK, Terraform, and CodeBuild-based CI/CD.
• Own multi-sprint initiatives independently, communicate risks, and deliver production-ready changes.
• Mentor engineers, share technical knowledge, improve team tooling and quality practices, and use AI coding tools with senior-level review.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and operating production full-stack web applications.
• Advanced TypeScript and Node.js experience with NestJS or Express, or deep Java/Spring Boot experience with motivation to work in TypeScript.
• Strong relational database skills, including PostgreSQL or MySQL, schema design, query optimization, and ORM usage.
• Frontend engineering experience with React; Next.js, component architecture, state management, SSR/ISR, accessibility, and performance experience are required or strongly expected.
• Experience with REST APIs, automated testing, CI/CD, AWS, Docker, and production observability.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States; e-Verify is used to validate work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience modernizing PHP, Java, or .NET legacy systems.
• AWS CDK or Terraform, SQS, GraphQL, gRPC, or Strapi experience.
• React Native/Expo, Python, FastAPI, or data pipeline experience.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, or agentic workflows.
• Interest in sports cards, gaming, or collectibles.
