Senior Software Engineer (Java, React)

Location: Hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office in Holmdel, NJ; Bethlehem, PA; Pittsfield, MA; or Hudson Yards, NYC. Candidates must reside in New York, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania and be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $95,170–$156,355 per year, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and unit test features for a business-critical website.
• Create and maintain full-stack software using Java/J2EE and modern frontend technologies.
• Collaborate with product owners to decompose features and deliver against project timelines.
• Follow security-office standards and project governance requirements.
• Work in a SAFe Agile environment with developers, QA, business users, internal teams, and external partners.
• Maintain existing software and technical documentation.

Requirements

• 6 or more years of full-stack technology experience in J2EE and frontend technologies.
• Strong command of Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, React, Node, Next, Nest, TypeScript, micro-frontends, JPA/Hibernate/iBatis, REST APIs, GraphQL, SQL, Oracle, and DB2.
• Familiarity with Apache Tomcat, AWS, and microservices.
• Experience with release, build, and configuration management, as well as SDLC practices using Scaled Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
• Knowledge of the insurance domain, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
