Payroll Senior Manager

Location: Plano, Texas; the selected candidate must reside within commutable distance.

What you will do

• Lead accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery across North America, including third-party provider governance, contracts, service levels, and performance management.
• Lead and develop a high-performing payroll organization of 30 team members and consultants.
• Govern payroll and time-and-labor technology platforms, ensuring system integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational stability.
• Oversee payroll case management, escalations, issue resolution, and root-cause analysis to improve employee service.
• Direct payroll, time-and-labor, automation, standardization, system implementation, and transformation initiatives.
• Set the payroll strategy and North America roadmap while partnering with HR, Finance, Legal, Tax, IT, and business operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Extensive progressive experience in payroll, time and labor, HR operations, finance operations, or a related field within a large multi-state and multi-country organization supporting more than 25,000 employees.
• Experience leading payroll operations, compliance, service delivery, and high-performing payroll teams.
• Experience supporting payroll, HR, or time-and-labor technology platforms and related business initiatives.
• Working knowledge of US and Canadian payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, taxation, garnishments, and compliance requirements.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future hirify.global visa or work authorization sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-country payroll, large hourly workforces, and complex timekeeping environments.
• Experience with UKG Pro, UKG Workforce Management, Workday, or comparable enterprise solutions.
• Experience leading payroll, HR, or time-and-labor technology implementations, upgrades, or transformation initiatives.
• Experience using automation, analytics, AI, RPA, or self-service technologies to improve efficiency and employee experience.
