EPC Project Manager, Utility Scale Solar

Location: Fabens, Texas, United States; extensive travel of at least 50% and lengthy assignments at remote or rural jobsites.

Salary: $110,448–$138,060 per year.

What you will do

• Plan and manage utility-scale solar EPC projects, including budgets, schedules, cost forecasts, procurement, buyout, reporting, and close-out.
• Lead self-performed construction scopes, large labor crews, superintendents, and project teams while managing productivity, labor spend, safety, and quality.
• Prepare billings, improve cash flow, collect aged receivables, and present and negotiate change orders and claims with owners.
• Negotiate subcontractor and material purchases, issue bid packages, coordinate suppliers, and resolve logistical and supply-chain challenges.
• Manage contract compliance, project risks, documentation, mitigation plans, and owner, architect, subcontractor, and supplier relationships.
• Direct preconstruction, warranty follow-up, owner meetings, and project team training and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture is preferred.
• 5–8 years of field construction management experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of utility-scale PV construction methods, sequencing, techniques, and utility and ISO interconnection timelines.
• Experience with project management controls, including scheduling, cost control, procurement, estimating, contract law, and project accounting.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, relationship-building, and people skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard construction tools such as Bluebeam Revu.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
