Operations Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Mission, TX, USA; onsite manufacturing environment

What you will do

• Own daily plant execution and production scheduling across juice processing and feedmill departments.
• Maximize throughput, product recovery, quality, labor efficiency, and cost performance.
• Coordinate operations with agriculture, planning, quality, engineering, maintenance, warehouse, logistics, and commercial teams.
• Lead root-cause analysis, Lean/CI initiatives, bottleneck elimination, and equipment reliability improvements.
• Develop supervisors, establish accountability and succession planning, and resolve major employee disputes.
• Maintain safety, food safety, sanitation, GMP, audit-readiness, and regulatory compliance programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and significant manufacturing leadership experience.
• 8–10 years of progressive manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in manufacturing leadership.
• Experience managing production operations, employees, budgets, KPIs, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of industrial safety and quality systems, with demonstrated improvements in safety, quality, reliability, productivity, and cost.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and Power BI.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10%; availability for long hours, weekends, and nights may be required.

Nice to have

• Engineering, Food Science, Operations, or related technical degree.
• Food, beverage, or citrus processing experience, including sanitary processing, CIP, and thermal processing.
• HACCP/PCQI and Lean/Six Sigma training or certification.
• Experience with refrigeration, boilers, wastewater, utilities, capital projects, or plant expansions.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
