Sr. Actuary - Filings Transformation Leader (P&C)

Location: Ohio - Columbus Metro; this position may be performed in-office, hybrid, or fully remote and could be filled within any of the lower 48 U.S. states.

Salary: $149,000.00–$262,000.00 national range; expected starting range of $149,000.00–$223,000.00.

What you will do

• Lead the current-state filings capability and execute a multi-year roadmap to centralize, simplify, and scale rate filing processes.
• Direct Actuarial Associates performing filings, reporting, and implementation work through prioritization, coaching, and delivery oversight.
• Partner with Pricing, Legal, Product, Government Relations, Technology, and Departments of Insurance to improve efficiency, quality, and regulatory responsiveness.
• Identify opportunities to apply automation, artificial intelligence, SQL, Excel, Python, R, and modern analytical tools to filing processes and profitability insights.
• Establish peer-review and governance practices, resolve process gaps, and promote consistent actuarial standards across portfolios.
• Present actuarial findings to technical and non-technical senior leaders and represent hirify.global with regulators, auditors, and external partners.

Requirements

• Deep experience in property and casualty actuarial work, insurance rate filings, or related regulatory processes.
• Actuarial designation required, generally FCAS or an equivalent qualification, for filing signatory responsibilities.
• Generally eight or more years of actuarial experience.
• Expert knowledge of actuarial methodologies, statistical analysis, actuarial models, software, databases, and regulatory practices.
• Ability to lead through ambiguity, influence across functions, manage complex work plans, and develop associates.
• Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or a related quantitative discipline preferred.
