Actuary Manager – Pricing

Location: Remote within the United States; must already be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship

Salary: $160,000–$211,000 per year, plus potential holiday bonus and incentive awards

What you will do

• Lead a team building, improving, and maintaining pricing models for direct casualty lines of business.
• Design, maintain, and use actuarial models to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with Underwriting and IT to ensure models function correctly and data is captured in online tables.
• Ensure pricing methods comply with actuarial standards of practice and company policies.
• Build reports and dashboards that provide insights to management and other departments.
• Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and technology assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related field.
• Membership in the Casualty Actuarial Society.
• 10 or more years of insurance industry experience, including at least 5 years in large-account commercial pricing.
• Strong analytical, programming, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software.
• U.S. work authorization without company sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience supervising actuarial professionals and reviewing actuarial work products.
• Experience with databases, SQL, VBA, Power BI, and Python or R.
• Experience pricing individual large-deductible casualty accounts.
• Experience with strategic planning, cross-functional committees, and communicating financial results to executives.
