Summer 2027 Environmental Intern

Location: Wilmington, Delaware, United States; travel is required as needed for field activities and project needs.

Salary: $21.00–$22.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Support fieldwork, including sampling environmental media, conducting site inspections, and assisting field engineers, geologists, and scientists.
• Research, collect, enter, interpret, and analyze environmental data.
• Assist with environmental investigation designs, work plans, and conceptual site models.
• Perform preliminary human health and ecological risk calculations and modeling.
• Support environmental assessments and prepare technical reports summarizing methods, findings, and recommendations.
• Travel as required for field activities and project needs.

Requirements

• Be a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a similar field.
• Relevant coursework in environmental science, geology, or related subjects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, write effectively, and communicate outcomes to clients and team members.
• Ability to conduct fieldwork, including occasional heavy lifting, and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Internship or co-op experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with ArcGIS and AutoCAD.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
