Summer 2027 Geoscience Intern

Location: Midland, Texas, United States; must be willing to work in Midland for the approximately 12-week internship from May to August 2027.

hirify.global is an independent oil and natural gas company focused on unconventional, onshore reserves in the Permian Basin in West Texas.

What you will do

• Own an individual geoscience project and present the completed work to Diamondback’s executive team.
• Work with integrated geoscience and engineering teams on subsurface characterization, target identification, appraisal drilling evaluation, and portfolio management.
• Evaluate upside potential on company-leased assets and determine whether appraisal drilling can add economic inventory.
• Support basin-wide stratigraphic, structural, geochemical, geomechanical, and sedimentological assessments for commercial drilling projects.
• Participate in field visits to active drilling rigs and completions spreads.
• Take part in intern events and philanthropic activities supporting the Midland-Odessa community.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in geosciences, geology, or a similar discipline.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
• Must be willing to work in Midland, Texas, for the duration of the internship.
• Must be returning to school for the Fall 2027 semester.
• Diamondback participates in E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in geosciences, geology, or a similar discipline.
• GPA of 3.20 or higher.
• Extracurricular achievements or prior work experience.
