Location: Distributed, with availability in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, or San Diego. Travel of up to 20–50% may be required for customer meetings, conferences, industry events, and in-person collaboration.
Salary: $234,000–$292,000 annual base salary for California-based hires outside the Bay Area, plus variable compensation and equity eligibility.

What you will do
- Lead technical discovery, validation, proof-of-concept planning, architectural presentations, demonstrations, and technical objection handling for enterprise customers.
- Map customer infrastructure across DNS, CDN, Zero Trust, network security, Workers, and related services to architectures and deployment strategies.
- Guide onboarding and implementation through migration blueprints, configuration best practices, WAF tuning guidance, telemetry monitoring, and risk mitigation.
- Own technical customer relationships throughout adoption, renewal, and expansion, including technical QBRs for C-level stakeholders.
- Support new business acquisition, account growth, platform adoption, retention, and cross-sell or up-sell opportunities through a quota-carrying role.
- Use AI agents, LLMs, internal platforms, scripts, and documentation workflows to automate routine technical and customer-facing tasks.
Requirements
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Professional Services, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
- Ability to design and clearly explain complex enterprise network and security architectures to engineers and C-level executives.
- Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, consultative, and advisory skills.
- Experience in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environments, SaaS metrics, business-value translation, and enterprise sales cycles.
- Depth in at least four technical areas, including internet fundamentals, security, performance, AI proficiency, coding or scripting, and developer platforms.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience creating technical enablement materials, workshops, code samples, documentation, or developer onboarding programs.
- Knowledge of LLM orchestration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and model-access controls.
- Understanding of PCI DSS, HIPAA, or SOC 2 requirements.
- Background in hyperscalers, digital-native companies, distributed systems environments, or startups.
