Tusker Insurance Operations Specialist (Insurance)

Location: Watford, United Kingdom; hybrid working with at least three days per week, or 60% of working time, at the Watford office. During training, attendance at the office is required five days per week until fully trained.

Salary: £36,224–£38,130 per year

What you will do

• Manage the operational delivery of insurance write-offs and total loss cases from first notification through settlement and closure.
• Review repair estimates, valuation reports, vehicle documentation, internal system records, and supplier invoices.
• Monitor supplier KPIs, claims performance, costs, reserving, third-party capture, and customer behaviour trends.
• Manage and challenge brokers, insurers, accident management providers, credit hire providers, and diminution partners.
• Handle complex cases, escalated complaints, and insurance-related queries with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Improve processes and the driver journey while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Requirements

• Experience in supplier relationship management, performance management, and process development.
• Experience with insurance topics; total loss administration experience is beneficial.
• Strong IT literacy and working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and industry-specific systems.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and demanding targets, with strong attention to detail and persistence.
• Experience monitoring total loss claim performance and communicating operational trends within the business.
• Ability to work from the Watford office at least three days per week, with five-day office attendance during training.

Nice to have

• Experience with FNOL, Vehicle Off Road, repair networks, relief vehicles, licence checking, credit hire, and diminution.
• Experience leading total loss claims, auditing insurance-related invoices, and managing operational claims reporting.
