ES Field Technician III (Hazmat and Environmental Services)

Location: Dixon, California, USA; onsite field work with emergency response duties during and outside normal business hours.

Pay range: $27.10–$37.22.

What you will do

• Perform tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, shoveling, high-pressure washing, and other remedial activities.
• Carry out confined-space entry work, including work in manholes, and respond to customer spills and emergencies during and outside normal business hours.
• Operate light and heavy cleanup equipment, including roll-off and vacuum trucks, box trucks, skid steers, forklifts, pumps, and pallet jacks.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip Department of Transportation inspections, maintain vehicle logs, and prepare operational and regulatory records.
• Maintain equipment and work sites while following all applicable safety policies and regulations.
• Provide guidance to less experienced team members and may act as a team leader.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to pass 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
• Ability to read technical, safety, quality, and operational documents, including safety data sheets, and understand chemical hazards.
• Ability to use light computer or tablet applications, hand and shop tools, instruments, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
• Ability to position the body to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and manage multiple responsibilities accurately and safely.
• Current confined-space entry or rescue certification, lead and asbestos abatement licensing, and Class A/B CDL with tanker or Class C hazmat endorsement are preferred.
