Rx Services Technician

Location: Oswego, New York, United States; onsite

Starting pay: $43.71 per hour

What you will do

• Perform reactor disassembly, maintenance, reassembly, fuel handling, spent fuel work, and dry fuel storage activities.
• Inspect, maintain, and operate equipment used for reactor vessel servicing, reactor-core activities, spent fuel pools, and refueling operations.
• Perform inspections and maintenance of reactor internals and other in-vessel services.
• Review work packages, conduct clearance walk-downs, and document completed work according to approved procedures.
• Participate in pre-job briefings, training, corrective actions, and continuous-improvement activities.
• Communicate significant plant and personnel issues and collaborate with site management, INPO, regulatory agencies, and internal and external organizations.

Requirements

• High school diploma and two years of reactor services or related power-plant experience, or an associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic reactor services principles.
• At least five years of previous experience in outage-services refueling activities.
• Ability to maintain unescorted access to nuclear facilities.
• Ability to perform work in accordance with approved procedures, NRC regulations, safety standards, and site schedules.

Nice to have

• Pipefitter or boilermaker experience.
• OEM camera experience.
