Facilities Technician (Medical Devices)

Location: On-site in Richmond, Illinois, United States

Salary: $53,000–$68,000 annually, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain facility infrastructure, equipment, and systems across two facilities.
• Troubleshoot and service motors, pumps, relays, circuit breakers, and other electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and building improvement projects.
• Maintain HVAC and building automation systems.
• Promote safe work practices and develop technical skills through ongoing training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least five years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician, or in a similar maintenance role.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills with practical, hands-on maintenance experience.
• Ability to provide personal tools and interpret mechanical schematics, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ability to lift 50–100 pounds occasionally, 25–50 pounds frequently, and 10–20 pounds constantly.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 90% of the workday and meet the required visual capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting facilities and equipment in a medical-device, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business software.
• Familiarity with machining equipment, machine shop practices, and basic fabrication techniques.
