Security Engineer I (IAM)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States. Primarily office-based, with 10–20% occasional travel.

What you will do

• Support enterprise IAM platforms covering SSO, MFA, identity governance, privileged access, and identities across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Monitor identity and privileged access activity, analyze logs and alerts, and support incident response and forensic investigations.
• Maintain SailPoint connectors, aggregation and provisioning jobs, roles, entitlements, workflows, and HR-driven joiner-mover-leaver processes.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory, including users, groups, roles, applications, policies, and security controls.
• Support audits, compliance certifications, control improvements, remediation activities, and root-cause analysis for IAM issues.
• Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, application, and DevOps teams to apply identity security and Zero Trust principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience, including exposure to IAM.
• At least 2 years of experience with IAM technologies such as SailPoint, Delinea, CyberArk, Microsoft Entra ID, or Ping Identity.
• Experience implementing and configuring SSO, MFA, SAML, OIDC, identity lifecycle management, and authorization controls.
• Working knowledge of IGA, PAM, RBAC, ABAC, PBAC, and FGAC access control models.
• Strong communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, documentation, and independent work skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud identity providers and hybrid federated IAM architectures.
• Experience facilitating meetings, mentoring junior security engineers, or evaluating new identity security products.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications or ongoing professional training.
