Cybersecurity Identity Architect (IAM)

Location: On-site at least four days per week at the hirify.global Center in Maplewood, Minnesota, or Austin, Texas, United States. Travel may be required up to 5%.

Expected compensation: $221,591–$270,834 annually, including base pay and eligible variable incentive pay.

What you will do

• Architect and design scalable IAM solutions covering SSO, MFA, identity federation, identity verification, identity governance, and privileged access management.
• Develop identity architecture blueprints, standards, roadmaps, authorization mappings, KPIs, and program effectiveness metrics.
• Translate security and business requirements into technical designs and integrate IAM with SOC, data security, AI, network, IT, and cybersecurity tooling.
• Evaluate IAM platforms and oversee integrations across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Support identity threat mitigation and incident response, while helping scale identity threat detection and response services.
• Manage vendor relationships and assess emerging technologies such as passwordless authentication, continuous adaptive trust, and AI-driven access decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in enterprise identity management.
• Deep knowledge of identity protocols including SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP, and Kerberos.
• Experience designing identity, authentication, authorization, and lifecycle management solutions for APIs, containers, agents, and modern IT systems.
• Knowledge of non-human identities, service accounts, machine identities, AI agents, delegated authentication, API gateways, mTLS, SPIFFE/SPIRE, and token management.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• CIAM, CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator certification.
• Experience with Azure AD/Entra, Saviynt, CyberArk, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience in large multinational enterprises or manufacturing environments involving IT and OT.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, SOX, PCI-DSS, NIST, ISO, and GDPR compliance frameworks.
• Experience integrating identity into broader cybersecurity systems and workflows.
