MCPP Philippines: Network Engineer

Location: Initial training and onboarding in Jacksonville, Florida, followed by USMC Contractor Replenishment Cell training and ultimate placement in Subic Bay, Philippines. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must be able to obtain a work visa and Alien Employment Permit for the Philippines.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and implement information management services across computer hardware, peripherals, mobile devices, software, and virtual environments.
• Install, configure, secure, maintain, upgrade, and recover data systems and network equipment.
• Administer user security and access policies, including VPN, wired, mobile, and MCEN connectivity.
• Configure and manage switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, and VoIP infrastructure.
• Implement a customer help desk management system and a network risk management program.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, document, back up, and restore network and server systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, and directly related experience.
• Ten years of progressive experience in information systems, computer, router, and server management, including five years in a help desk capacity.
• Knowledge of DoD and NIST policies, standards, and guidelines for network infrastructure.
• U.S. citizenship, a valid state motor vehicle driver’s license, and a U.S. Passport or the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance and pass an FBI background investigation.
• Ability to obtain a work visa and Alien Employment Permit for the Philippines.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Marine Corps policies, regulations, and orders.
• Industry certification and experience with automation and scripting.
• Knowledge of military storage and maintenance procedures for commercial and tactical data and cellular equipment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
