Apprentice (1st Year - 4th Year) or Journey Line Worker (Electric Distribution and Transmission): Constructing, maintaining, operating, and restoring high-voltage distribution and transmission lines with an accent on emergency repairs, overhead and underground utility work, and safe aerial operations. Focus on troubleshooting electrical infrastructure, responding to storm and emergency callouts, operating utility equipment, and performing strenuous field work in varied conditions.
Location: Seminole, Texas; must reside within 20 miles of the Seminole Service Center. The role may require extended travel, after-hours and weekend emergency callouts.
Salary: $30.93–$53.16 per hour

What you will do
- Construct, maintain, operate, remove, and restore high-voltage distribution and transmission lines.
- Support maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs for overhead and underground electric infrastructure.
- Perform aerial work using safety equipment and work with utility line crew equipment.
- Respond to scheduled emergency callouts, including storm restoration assignments.
- For apprentices, attend the required second-, third-, and fourth-year apprentice schools.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED for apprentice applicants.
- Class A commercial driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one within 120 days for apprentices.
- Successful completion of the EEI CAST Assessment for apprentices or the Journeyman Assessment for journey line workers.
- Completion of an approved apprentice line program or five years of progressive electric lineman experience for journey line workers.
- Ability to lift up to 90 pounds, climb wooden poles up to 100 feet, perform aerial and confined-area work, and complete strenuous physical labor in varied conditions.
- Ability to pass required physical, DOT, security, and drug screenings; strong safety awareness, communication, and teamwork skills.
