Service Mechanic D

Location: Junction, Texas; must live within 30 miles of the service location

Salary: $30.60–$31.32 per hour

What you will do

• Assist with installing, maintaining, removing, and inspecting overhead and underground transmission and distribution facilities.
• Operate line trucks, bucket trucks, mechanized equipment, power tools, generators, pumps, and related equipment.
• Climb poles, towers, and structures; work from ladders and bucket trucks at heights of up to 250 feet.
• Install, maintain, test, and remove single-phase meters, services, secondary cables, and street-light equipment.
• Assist with trouble calls, construction and repair crews, traffic control, material handling, and underground facility work.
• Follow safety procedures, use insulating PPE, maintain equipment and work areas, and complete electronic records and reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No previous work experience is required; line work experience, line school education, or Service Mechanic certification is beneficial.
• Valid state driver license; must obtain the required CDL before the end of the probationary period.
• Must live within 30 miles of the Junction service location.
• Ability to work aloft and in awkward or suspended positions, distinguish colors, use tools and electronic devices, and lift 75 pounds overhead.
• Recommended results from the HireVue Meter Servicer Virtual Job Tryout are required.
