Forward Deployed Solutions Engineer, New Graduate (Payments)

Location: Canada; remote or hybrid

Salary: CAD $85,000–$105,000 base salary per year, plus potential performance incentives and equity participation.

What you will do

• Build production software and customer-focused technical solutions.
• Design and develop API integrations connecting payment, CRM, ERP, and accounting systems.
• Automate manual business processes and design data workflows with reconciliation logic.
• Investigate production issues and improve existing platform capabilities.
• Participate in customer discovery, translate business challenges into technical solutions, and document technical best practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and enterprise customers on implementations.

Requirements

• Currently completing or recently completed a degree or diploma in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, data science, information systems, physics, or mechatronics; equivalent technical experience is also welcome.
• Programming experience in at least one modern language such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, Go, or C++.
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals and familiarity with Git.
• Basic understanding of APIs, databases, or web applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, ownership, collaboration, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Internship or co-op experience.
• Applications used by real people, personal projects, open-source contributions, or hackathon participation.
• Experience with APIs, full-stack applications, repetitive-work automation, or startup environments.
