Construction Surety Underwriter (Account Executive) - Credit Analyst

Location: TX - Richardson, United States. The role includes regular in-person meetings with agents and brokers and travel to those meetings.

Annual base salary: $89,800–$148,300, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of construction surety business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts while applying business-unit strategies and risk appetite.
• Analyze contractor operations, financial statements, business risks, and market forces.
• Build relationships with agents, brokers, and internal partners to market and sell surety solutions.
• Identify new business and cross-selling opportunities through consultative sales and marketing.
• Develop agency sales plans aligned with team objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least two years of experience in underwriting, product knowledge, financial analysis, or risk assessment.
• Three to five years of applicable underwriting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of insurance or surety products, regulatory requirements, and local market conditions.
• Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, underwriting, communication, and negotiation skills.
