Strategic Finance Director (Energy)

Location: Findlay, Ohio; additional locations in Houston and San Antonio, Texas.

What you will do

• Lead the strategic finance function for the MPC or MPLX business segment and advise the CEO, CFO, and senior business leaders.
• Evaluate growth initiatives, capital investments, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, portfolio optimization, and capital allocation decisions.
• Oversee the Authorization Request process for investments above $5 million and monitor approved projects through construction and development.
• Coordinate investment analysis with Business Development, Strategy, Operations, Treasury, Economics, Tax, Accounting, Credit, Insurance, and Planning organizations.
• Support financial and modeling discussions with consultants, advisors, and investment banks.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing strategic finance team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
• 12 or more years of experience in finance, economics, or accounting.
• Experience with financial modeling or analytical analysis is preferred.
• Ability to perform scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and Monte Carlo analysis for investment and portfolio risk assessment.
• Ability to work in the listed US locations.

• Master’s degree, MBA, or another advanced degree.
