Director/VP, Tax Equity Capital (Renewable Energy)

Location: New York City, with remote work available from the United States

What you will do

• Lead the origination, structuring, negotiation, and execution of tax equity and other tax-efficient financing transactions.
• Develop relationships with tax equity investors, banks, and other financing partners while identifying new sources of capital.
• Oversee Excel financial modeling supporting tax equity transactions and capital funding activities.
• Manage transactions from investor engagement through negotiations, document review, due diligence, and closing.
• Oversee reporting for hirify.global Finance and collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, Accounting, Legal, and Technology teams.
• Develop junior capital markets team members and contribute to broader capital markets activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in banking or capital markets, with renewable energy and tax equity experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience originating, structuring, and executing tax equity transactions and negotiating complex deals.
• Deep financial modeling skills and strong analytical and business judgment.
• Strong relationships with tax equity investors and a track record of originating new capital sources.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• Experience with debt structuring or tax credit origination and placement.
