CEI Construction Inspector (Construction)

Location: Franklin or Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States; field-based construction inspection work.

Salary: $58,804–$66,822 per year.

What you will do

• Inspect assigned construction work and verify compliance with project requirements.
• Perform field surveying and construction layout assignments.
• Conduct field tests and make or check engineering computations.
• Assist with geotechnical field exploration activities.
• Support the Senior Inspector under the general supervision of the Project Administrator.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 2 years of construction inspection experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
• Possess, or obtain within six months of hire, the required TDEC, TDOT, ACI, OSHA, work-zone, traffic-control, asphalt, concrete, soils, aggregates, and radiation-safety certifications.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• TDOT experience.
• Experience with Site Manager or AASHTOWare.
