Sr Network Engineer

Location: Miami, FL, United States; primarily office-based with 10-20% travel required.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, manage, and operate enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud network services.
• Provide Tier 3 engineering support during critical incidents and maintain 99.9% network uptime through redundancy, resilience, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Build automation workflows with GitHub, Python, Terraform, and Ansible to improve operational efficiency and support CI/CD principles.
• Deploy and operate WAN circuits, LAN and wireless infrastructure, F5 LTM/APM load balancing, and Palo Alto SD-WAN and SASE solutions.
• Partner with enterprise architecture and security teams on network design, security audits, disaster recovery, standardization, and technology evaluations.
• Produce technical documentation, including architecture decision records, network diagrams, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant network engineering experience, preferably in a large enterprise environment.
• Expertise with Cisco Meraki, Catalyst and Nexus switches, Cisco ISR and ASR routers, and F5 LTM/APM products.
• Proficiency with Palo Alto SD-WAN and SASE, WAN architectures, MPLS, IPsec, hybrid connectivity, and enterprise network technologies.
• Knowledge of IP fundamentals, DNS, DHCP, IPv4/IPv6, wireless LAN, the OSI model, data center technologies, virtualization, cloud networking, and security.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, troubleshooting, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• ITIL, Cisco CCNP, or similar certification.
• Experience translating technical recommendations into visual presentations for non-technical stakeholders.
