Senior Systems DevOps Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Hybrid position based in Acton, Massachusetts; onsite at least three days per week.

Salary: $102,400–$153,550 annual base salary for U.S.-based positions, with potential incentive compensation.

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod insulin management platform and other wearable drug-delivery solutions.

What you will do

• Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, deployments, and releases.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux development, test, production, and laboratory environments.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code, automation frameworks, scripts, and tools that improve reliability and operational efficiency.
• Lead containerization and orchestration initiatives using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Support MQTT messaging infrastructure, hardware-based test systems, embedded devices, mobile devices, and cloud integrations.
• Drive observability, incident response, root-cause analysis, documentation, technical leadership, and cross-functional DevOps improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 8 years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, SRE, infrastructure engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and DevOps workflows.
• At least 3 years of experience with embedded systems, development boards, hardware/software interfaces, and automated testing integration.
• At least 3 years of experience integrating Android and iOS devices into automated testing and CI/CD environments.
• Strong Python and Java skills, Linux experience, source-control knowledge, and experience with Jenkins or Bamboo.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation; and GitOps practices.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, MQTT, observability, monitoring, logging, and reliability engineering.
• Experience with mobile build automation, Xcode, embedded hardware, development boards, and large-scale hardware test environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, secure software delivery, and regulated medical device standards such as FDA, ISO 13485, or IEC 62304.
• Experience using AI-assisted development and troubleshooting tools, mentoring engineers, or leading cross-functional teams.
