Lead Software Engineer (Java)

Salary: $116,400–$194,000 annually

What you will do

• Drive the development and modernization of an enterprise messaging hub supporting digital banking alerts and messaging.
• Design, develop, and support enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Build real-time alerting solutions integrating mainframes, MQ, databases, APIs, and other enterprise event sources.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and release management.
• Define API, integration, architecture, technology standards, and modernization strategies.
• Lead technical design reviews, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement while mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and at least 7 years of systems analysis or application development experience, or a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise with experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Oracle SQL or another relational database management system.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting critical production systems, including Linux command-line experience.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, Git, secure coding practices, and application vulnerability remediation.
• In lieu of a degree, at least 9 years of combined education and relevant work experience, including 5 years of systems analysis or application development experience.

• Spring Cloud experience.
• Digital banking or financial services experience.
• Dynatrace or other enterprise monitoring tools experience.
• OpenShift, Kubernetes, Azure, or other cloud-native container platform experience.
• Kafka, MQ, or other enterprise messaging platform experience.
