Senior Murex Software Engineer (Murex)

Location: Hybrid position requiring three days in the office per week at the Denver or Cedar Rapids hub; relocation assistance is not provided.

Salary: $94,000–$115,000 annually, plus potential annual bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, enhance, and support Murex solutions across Front Office, Risk, Back Office, Accounting, and Datamart/reporting functions.
• Build integrations between Murex and internal or third-party applications using APIs, messaging, ETL pipelines, files, databases, and batch orchestration.
• Develop Datamart schemas, feeders, batches, extraction processes, reconciliation routines, and reporting data layers.
• Optimize data pipelines and ETL processes for trade, position, valuation, and accounting data using SQL Server, Oracle, SSIS, and AWS Glue.
• Develop and support operational, regulatory, valuation, accounting, and management reports.
• Lead design discussions, troubleshoot production issues, support testing and releases, and mentor developers and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Three or more years of software engineering experience with Java, SQL, or equivalent enterprise technologies.
• Hands-on Murex development or functional development experience, preferably with derivatives and trade lifecycle processes.
• Strong SQL Server and/or Oracle experience, including query development, stored procedures, data modeling, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and reconciliation.
• Experience with ETL, reporting, APIs, messaging, CI/CD, batch scheduling, testing, and operational support.
• Applicants must already be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Murex upgrades, migrations, or large-scale enhancement programs.
• Experience with test automation, regression testing, and enterprise release management.
• AWS, Microsoft, Murex, or equivalent technical certifications.
• Knowledge of financial services, insurance, asset management, capital markets, or derivatives reporting.
