Software Developer Backend (Forma Admin Access)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver offices, Canada. In-person onboarding and/or identity verification may be required.

Salary: CAD 88,000–128,700 annual base salary, with potential additional bonuses, stock grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and test backend software features and system components.
• Help reimagine user access controls, permissions modeling, and evaluation for Forma Admin.
• Contribute to Tier 1 core APIs and critical data services used by hirify.global Construction Solutions products.
• Diagnose and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other system errors.
• Collaborate with domestic and international ACS teams and participate actively in code reviews and pull requests.

Requirements

• Hybrid work from the Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver offices is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or significant equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of backend and distributed systems engineering experience.
• Experience with SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Ability to translate complex software problems into technical tasks and resolve challenging technical issues.
• Strong communication, flexibility, multitasking, and collaboration skills in distributed teams.
