Associate Software Engineer (.NET)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid work with flexibility to work from home or the office based on business and client needs. The role includes occasional travel between hirify.global locations and periodic weekend or after-hours support.

Salary: CAD 54,000–89,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and deliver end-to-end applications in collaboration with designers, business analysts, and testing specialists.
• Modernize legacy applications by adopting current technologies and frameworks.
• Coordinate development, testing, and implementation activities with onshore and offshore teams.
• Apply information security standards while maintaining application performance and production stability.
• Analyze and resolve incidents, optimize performance, and escalate issues strategically.
• Participate in rotating on-call support and periodic project implementation or system upgrade activities.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional IT experience in Agile application development.
• Proficiency with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, REST APIs, and SOAP-based web services.
• Proficiency with SQL, SQL Server, and relational database concepts.
• Familiarity with TFS, Git, Artifactory, NuGet, CI/DevOps tools, and unit test automation.
• Familiarity with modern development tools, including GenAI and Copilot.
• Reliability Status Clearance is required, including a law enforcement inquiry and credit check.

Nice to have

• Background in financial services or insurance.
• Experience with Java.
