Manager, Development (Hydrogen)

Location: Hybrid work from the Houston, Texas office

Salary: $175,000–$195,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day development of green hydrogen, blue hydrogen, e-Fuel, and other low-carbon industrial projects from early-stage development through Final Investment Decision.
• Manage project schedules, milestones, budgets, action items, workplans, risk registers, and investment decision materials.
• Coordinate site control, permitting, environmental studies, utilities, natural gas infrastructure, CO2 transportation and sequestration, transmission, interconnection, engineering, and commercial diligence.
• Evaluate technical and commercial pathways for hydrogen production, emissions management, carbon capture, CO2 offtake or storage, pipeline access, and regulatory compliance.
• Support customer engagement, proposals, commercial materials, due diligence packages, project financing, and lender diligence.
• Manage external consultants and coordinate with engineering, commercial, finance, legal, policy, supply chain, and operations teams.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of project development experience in energy, natural gas, industrial, infrastructure, hydrogen, carbon capture, renewable fuels, or clean technology sectors.
• Experience developing natural gas, blue hydrogen, carbon capture, industrial gas, energy infrastructure, renewable fuel, or other low-carbon industrial projects through key milestones.
• Understanding of permitting, site selection, utility coordination, natural gas and CO2 infrastructure diligence, commercial contracting, and stakeholder management.
• Strong project management, commercial, analytical, budgeting, financial analysis, risk assessment, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering, environmental, commercial, legal, finance, policy, supply chain, and operations functions.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a commitment to collaboration, integrity, inclusion, and team success.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with carbon intensity, emissions accounting, carbon capture performance, CO2 storage or offtake, and related regulatory or incentive frameworks.
• Experience in green or blue hydrogen, industrial gases, renewable fuels, e-SAF, methanol, ammonia, or carbon capture.
