New Business Project Manager – New Development

Location: Pomona, California; hybrid work with required residence and employment in California. The position requires up to 35% travel and field work throughout the SCE service territory.

Salary: $143,900–$215,800 per year.

What you will do

• Manage residential and commercial new business development projects from initiation through closure.
• Direct project scope, schedules, budgets, execution, controls, and closeout for moderately complex projects.
• Plan, develop, and execute electric transmission and distribution projects, including infrastructure replacement, load growth, line upgrades, maintenance, and installations.
• Drive milestones and coordinate designs, schedules, project applications, compliance and safety documentation, regulatory filings, and agency coordination.
• Perform power flow and fault analysis studies to determine transmission system impacts and requirements.
• Advance development plans, work packages, testing procedures, and energization sequences while collaborating with project managers, leadership, clients, residents, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least seven years of project management experience.
• Experience delivering scope, schedule, and budget commitments across the full IPSEC lifecycle.
• Experience managing multiple high-impact projects with tight timelines, complex stakeholders, and significant resource-planning requirements.
• Strong business analytics, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, negotiation, leadership, and time-management skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with Design Manager, Click, and SAP.
• Ability to work and reside in California and report to an SCE facility for a set number of days under the hybrid work model.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, project construction management, or a related field.
• PMP credential.
• Experience mentoring coworkers, leading small teams, and delivering training.
