TL;DR
Director of Project Development (Nuclear Energy): Advancing Oklo's Aurora powerhouse development pipeline across multiple sites from site control through financial close and FNTP with an accent on permitting, interconnection, project finance, and cross-functional execution. Focus on managing 5–10+ concurrent projects, building a Project Developer team, and coordinating complex nuclear sites integrating power generation, isotope production, and advanced research.

Location: Santa Clara, California, or remote within the United States. Remote employees must travel to the Santa Clara headquarters twice per quarter based on business or team needs. The first two weeks of onboarding are required in person at the Santa Clara headquarters. Only applicants who meet the definition of a U.S. person under applicable export control laws may be eligible.

Salary: $225,000–$275,000 per year, plus equity and bonuses.

What you will do

  • Own the stage-gate development process for a portfolio of 5–10 or more Aurora powerhouse sites.
  • Advance projects from site control through engineering readiness, interconnection, NRC permitting coordination, financial close, and FNTP.
  • Own project schedules, budgets, risk registers, milestone reviews, and board reporting.
  • Coordinate work across Development Engineering, Transmission & Interconnection, Environmental & Permitting, and Finance.
  • Build, manage, and mentor Project Developers at different seniority levels.
  • Support hirify.global Isotopes and Nuclear Lifecycle Innovation Campuses, coordinating site readiness, regulatory interfaces, internal teams, and external partners.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in energy generation or large-load project development.
  • Demonstrated experience advancing greenfield projects through financial close.
  • Deep knowledge of site control, permitting coordination, interconnection, and project financing.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Nuclear, utility-scale generation, or complex infrastructure experience is strongly preferred.
  • U.S. person eligibility may be required because the role may involve information subject to U.S. export control laws.

Nice to have

  • Experience in nuclear development, utility-scale generation, or complex infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting isotope production, advanced nuclear research, or integrated nuclear sites.
