Supply Chain Specialist (Food & Beverage)

Location: United States. Fully remote, with a hybrid option for candidates based in Austin, TX.

Salary: $60,000–$75,000 per year base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage inventory planning for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, including safety stock, reorder points, and planning models.
• Support sourcing, purchasing, supplier negotiations, pricing records, supplier scorecards, and risk management.
• Prepare S&OP inputs, scenarios, outputs, and follow-up actions for monthly production planning.
• Coordinate co-manufacturers, production schedules, material availability, yield, scrap, production costs, and issue resolution.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, reconciliation, FEFO management, batch and lot traceability, and write-off processes across co-manufacturers and 3PLs.
• Ensure three-way invoice matching and maintain reliable reporting, processes, and operational follow-up.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in supply chain, planning, procurement, logistics, or related operations; CPG, food, beverage, or supplement experience is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, INDEX/MATCH or XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and scenario modeling.
• Experience building formula-driven, auditable workbooks and planning tools.
• Experience coordinating co-manufacturers, 3PLs, contract packagers, or similar external operations partners.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written communication, and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple suppliers, schedules, materials, and deadlines.
• Hands-on ability to investigate discrepancies in inventory, production, supplier, and cost data.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of FEFO, lot traceability, GMP, FSMA, SQF, and certificates of analysis.
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems such as NetSuite, Cin7, or Fishbowl.
• Experience with food and beverage manufacturers, supplier scorecards, OTIF measurement, or S&OP processes.
