Senior Software Engineer II, Fullstack (React/Node.js)

Location: Remote in Canada

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 CAD per year, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and extend customer-facing features for post-purchase products and ecommerce storefronts.
• Develop reusable frontend platform components for internal, external, and retail products.
• Translate product designs and wireframes into functional React-based UI components.
• Contribute to backend services using Golang and Node.js, including RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Spanner, BigQuery, GCP, CI/CD, and infrastructure deployments.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams on architecture, code quality, reviews, and mentoring.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience building reliable, scalable, high-quality systems.
• Experience building consumer-facing applications with React or another modern frontend framework such as Svelte, Angular, Vue, or Ember.
• Experience developing software with Node.js or Golang and consuming APIs from microservice backends.
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and computer science fundamentals.
• Strong focus on code quality, code reviews, and mentoring other engineers.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or an equivalent qualification.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Previous startup experience and a growth-oriented product engineering mindset.
