Category Manager - EU Food

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end EU food category, including assortment, pricing, suppliers, inventory, and promotions.
• Build and develop partnerships with national, regional, and local suppliers.
• Analyze category performance, customer demand, market trends, and assortment gaps to identify growth opportunities.
• Optimize the product assortment to meet local customer needs.
• Monitor stock availability and inventory efficiency.
• Develop long-term category and sales strategies and collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations, and Product teams.

Requirements

• Experience in category management, buying, merchandising, or procurement, ideally in EU food.
• Strong understanding of customers, market dynamics, assortment, and commercial principles.
• Experience managing suppliers and building commercial partnerships.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent Italian and English required.
