Senior Software Engineer - Grading Operations (.NET)

What you will do

• Build backend services, RESTful APIs, data models, and internal applications for grading and authentication operations.
• Develop event-driven, asynchronous, serverless, and background-processing systems that move operational data through high-volume workflows.
• Work across containerized .NET applications, serverless APIs, and Python services to select suitable architectures for new capabilities.
• Contribute to frontend features using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Vue.
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Operations stakeholders to convert complex requirements into extensible technical designs.
• Troubleshoot production systems, participate in on-call support, document solutions, and improve observability and code quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production applications, with substantial backend experience and hands-on frontend delivery.
• 3+ years of experience and strong proficiency in C# and .NET.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and integrations, automated tests, relational databases, and data models using systems such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Production cloud experience with Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, serverless compute, API gateways, managed messaging, and data stores.
• Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States; employment eligibility is validated through E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed, asynchronous, and event-driven systems.
• Experience with AWS, Python testing frameworks, Apache Kafka, DynamoDB, or Vue.
• Experience optimizing high-volume workflows and partnering directly with Product and Operations teams.
