Refrigeration Project Engineer

Location: Virtual, associated with Davidson, North Carolina, United States; domestic and international travel may be required, estimated at 15%.

Annual base salary: $90,900–$164,675. Incentive eligible; not eligible for sales commission.

What you will do

• Develop refrigeration system concepts, designs, specifications, and customer-focused engineering solutions.
• Perform engineering analysis involving heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid flow, airflow, mechanical design, and controls.
• Prepare load and sizing calculations, select equipment and components, and direct sourcing and alternate supplier approvals.
• Estimate project costs with Sales and Project Development teams.
• Direct drafting staff, develop plans and standards, manage drawing revisions, and issue plans according to project schedules.
• Provide engineering support to construction and service technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• At least 5–7 years of engineering or field experience.
• Expert understanding of refrigeration systems and related engineering principles.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, project management, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Working ability in CAD, Microsoft Project, Excel, and other engineering systems.

Nice to have

• Refrigeration experience.
• Professional Engineering license.
