Location: San Francisco, CA, United States

Salary: $173,400–$255,000 USD per year, plus potential equity grants

What you will do

  • Define the operating model, organizational structure, roadmap, standards, and governance for Central Robot Operations.
  • Lead 24/7 Remote Assistance, including service-level agreements, workforce planning, staffing, scheduling, escalation protocols, monitoring, telemetry, and fleet-health dashboards.
  • Own mapping operations for HD maps, geofences, routing data, and points of interest, including quality standards, refresh cycles, launch readiness, and partner management.
  • Develop repeatable launch playbooks for cities, campuses, and operating zones, covering market assessment, regulatory readiness, planning, and cross-functional launch reviews.
  • Lead strategy and execution for hubs, depots, charging infrastructure, parking locations, maintenance facilities, capacity planning, vendors, and cost optimization.
  • Build the planning, analytics, governance, reporting, and program management systems that improve fleet availability, productivity, customer experience, reliability, and unit economics.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in operations, robotics, autonomous vehicles, logistics, aviation, mobility, or other large-scale operational environments.
  • Experience building and leading complex, cross-functional operations organizations across multiple operational domains.
  • Experience operating 24/7 mission-critical operations with measurable service-level commitments.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, communication, and executive leadership skills, including experience with SQL, BI tools, dashboards, forecasting, and operational metrics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

Nice to have

  • Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, drones, industrial automation, or advanced mobility.
  • Experience with fleet operations, command centers, remote assistance, mission control, GIS, mapping, telemetry, or operational monitoring platforms.
  • Experience building infrastructure networks, depots, charging operations, or physical logistics assets.
  • Background in management consulting, corporate strategy, or operations excellence.
  • MBA or master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business.
