Location: El Segundo, California, United States. Hybrid role requiring on-site work at least 2–3 times per week, with additional on-site days possible depending on meetings and schedules. U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government Secret clearance are required.
Salary: $121,000–$161,000–$177,100 annually in California, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions.

What you will do
- Test, analyze, evaluate, verify, and validate cybersecurity and system performance.
- Identify vulnerabilities and urgent mitigation needs early in the development lifecycle.
- Plan and execute Mission Based Cyber Risk Assessments and Mission Based Risk Assessments – Cyber.
- Develop threat scenarios for cyber test events, including Cyber Table Top exercises.
- Analyze cybersecurity architectures, network diagrams, and system security trade-offs.
- Partner with engineers, operators, and mission stakeholders to integrate cybersecurity across the system lifecycle.
Requirements
- 7+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience supporting Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including space, ground, or hardware systems.
- Experience supporting Risk Management Framework activities and documentation.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, privacy principles, computer networking, network security methodologies, and network design processes.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- DoD 8140 Level II certification, such as Security+.
- Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required; applicants must be eligible for access to classified information.
Nice to have
- Experience with space-based remote sensing systems.
- Experience developing system security context, preliminary security CONOPS, and baseline security requirements.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Degree in Engineering, IT, Information Assurance, Information Security, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- DoD 8140 Level III certification, such as CISSP, ISSEP, or ISSAP.
