IT & Security Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: On-site in Navarre, Florida; full-time, Monday–Friday in-office. Remote work is not available. The role includes travel to Calumet, Michigan several times per year, generally for one week at a time.

Salary: $95,000–$130,000 annually

What you will do

• Administer, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems, hardware, software, and virtual environments.
• Develop, implement, and enforce company-wide IT security policies, procedures, and system security plans.
• Conduct system audits, vulnerability scans, risk assessments, continuous monitoring, and secure file transfers.
• Investigate security incidents, violations, and data-integrity concerns, and remediate vulnerabilities using hardening and assessment tools.
• Collaborate with the managed service provider, customers, and internal stakeholders to maintain reliable operations.
• Provide guidance to Information System Security Officers and support security staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, information security, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination including five years of education, training, certifications, and work experience.
• Administrative experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with DISS and eMASS.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification, or the ability to obtain it within six months of hire.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required.
• A valid driver’s license and availability to travel to Calumet, Michigan several times per year are required.

Nice to have

• Active Top Secret clearance.
• CISSP or another cybersecurity certification.
• Experience with SCAP, STIGs, Nessus, security hardening, assessment, or reporting tools.
• Knowledge of RMF, DAAPM, JSIG, NIST 800-171, or CMMC.
