Staff Security Architect

Salary: USD 150,000–170,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead security architecture engagements for complex enterprise initiatives and strategic technology programs.
• Advise engineering, infrastructure, cloud, data, product, and business teams throughout solution design and delivery.
• Develop security architecture strategies, reference architectures, standards, reusable patterns, and implementation guidance.
• Lead threat modeling exercises, architectural risk assessments, and security design reviews, translating risks into control requirements and remediation plans.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and vendors for security risk and alignment with enterprise strategy.
• Mentor security architects and cybersecurity professionals while presenting recommendations and risks to senior and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including security architecture, application security, cloud security, infrastructure security, governance, risk management, or security engineering.
• At least 3 years designing enterprise security architectures for cloud-native, hybrid, or distributed environments.
• Experience developing enterprise security strategies, standards, reference architectures, and design patterns.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform, modern application architectures, threat modeling, SSDLC, DevSecOps, CI/CD security, SAST, DAST, SCA, and penetration testing.
• Experience designing controls for APIs, containers, Kubernetes, microservices, serverless systems, identity platforms, and zero trust networks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience; strong communication and stakeholder-influence skills are required.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, GIAC, TOGAF, or equivalent certification.
• Experience establishing or maturing enterprise security architecture programs.
• Experience with digital media, streaming, content production, broadcast operations, or media and entertainment technologies.
• Knowledge of modern identity architectures, Zero Trust, AI security, data security, and cloud-native security principles.
