Cyber Security Engineer - Sr. Consultant level (Security Architecture)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid work with at least 3 days in the office required. Travel of 5–10% is required.

Salary: $162,500–$260,400 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain enterprise security architecture strategies, frameworks, standards, roadmaps, diagrams, models, and guidelines.
• Embed security controls and requirements into business processes, data, applications, products, and services across cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective security solutions in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.
• Establish governance processes, conduct architecture reviews, and identify and mitigate risks affecting security and compliance.
• Evaluate emerging security technologies and industry trends, and recommend improvements to hirify.global’s security landscape.
• Develop threat models, support acquired-entity and datacenter integrations, and provide training and mentorship to architects and IT staff.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree or PhD; 11+ years may qualify without the stated degree path.
• Python coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of cloud and hybrid cloud computing, data architecture, security, and integration patterns.
• Experience with firewalls, encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and security information and event management (SIEM).
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide security solutions and applying security architecture frameworks and methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and stakeholder-influencing skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, TOGAF, or Zachman Framework.
• Experience in financial services or a related industry.
• Additional security certifications such as CEH, GSEC, or GCIA.
