Senior Scientist (Cardiovascular Biology)

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; on-premise work

Annual base salary: $93,600–$156,000, plus a 12.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Develop strategies to identify and validate therapeutic targets aligned with research priorities.
• Investigate mechanisms of atherosclerotic plaque progression using cellular, molecular, and animal model techniques.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data and integrate advances in preclinical and translational science.
• Build collaborations with academic partners and internal scientists across disciplines.
• Communicate findings through publications, scientific presentations, and leadership briefings.
• Mentor junior scientists while maintaining scientific integrity, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Cardiovascular Biology, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of postdoctoral or relevant industry experience in drug discovery or translational research.
• Expertise in cardiovascular or atherosclerosis disease biology.
• Experience with in vitro and in vivo cardiovascular-atherosclerotic systems, including foam-cell and vascular-cell assays, molecular biology, high-content imaging, ex vivo approaches, and rodent models.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Must have permanent U.S. work authorization and be authorized to work in the U.S. by any employer.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in drug discovery.
• Experience using human genetic and multi-omics data.
• Experience with neurovascular diseases.
