What you will do
- Conduct independent research on vascular mechanisms involved in ischemia/reperfusion injury, Alzheimer disease, and hypertension.
- Design and implement experimental protocols, data collection methods, and statistical analysis plans.
- Use molecular and cellular biology assays, ex vivo vascular function studies, and mouse models of vascular and ischemic injury.
- Analyze and interpret research data and maintain accurate, organized records of protocols and results.
- Prepare findings for peer-reviewed publications, conferences, scientific meetings, and research reports.
- Collaborate with the principal investigator, researchers, healthcare professionals, industry partners, regulatory bodies, and ethics committees.
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field or MD.
- Prior experience in healthcare research.
- Experience in research design, data collection, statistical analysis, and scientific writing.
- Proficiency with statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, or R and with data management tools.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with knowledge of healthcare research ethics and regulations.
Nice to have
- Background in cardiovascular or neurovascular physiology.
- Experience with pressure myography on resistance arteries.
- Experience with survival surgeries in mice or rats.
- Publication record in a relevant field.
