Staff DevOps Engineer

Location: Hybrid in the USA, with Mountain View, California listed

Salary: USD $205,650–$342,750 per year, with potential eligibility for a corporate bonus program

What you will do

• Advance the reliability, scalability, and automation of Horizon Cloud’s global infrastructure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD-based GitOps workflows.
• Implement observability and logging with Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Manage Azure cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Operate and troubleshoot production Kubernetes clusters while building resilient, self-healing systems.
• Automate operations with Python, contribute to infrastructure security, and provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.
• Experience designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with GitOps tools.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Strong knowledge of Azure or another public cloud platform.
• Proficiency with Terraform and observability stacks such as Elastic Stack, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Understanding of SRE, incident response, distributed systems troubleshooting, infrastructure security, and compliance.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving improvements across technical systems.
