Cyber Security Analyst

What you will do

• Implement and optimise security technologies and controls across internal and customer-facing platforms.
• Identify cyber security risks and control deficiencies, recommend improvements, and drive remediation.
• Monitor security events and alerts, investigate threats, and support incident response activities.
• Manage vulnerabilities, including identification, risk assessment, remediation tracking, and reporting.
• Develop security policies, standards, procedures, technical documentation, and SOC processes.
• Lead security projects and support audits, risk assessments, compliance activities, and security monitoring capabilities.

Requirements

• Strong practical knowledge of cyber security, application security, operating systems, infrastructure, networking, and security controls.
• Experience with vulnerability management, penetration testing, security assessments, EDR, NDR, SIEM, threat detection, and incident response.
• Knowledge of Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK, and NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks.
• Understanding of cloud security, preferably AWS, including IAM, logging, monitoring, and configuration.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux, servers, virtualisation, databases, web servers, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, WAFs, DLP, and software supply-chain risk.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, prioritisation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
