Senior SOC Analyst (Cybersecurity): Monitoring, investigating, and responding to cybersecurity incidents in a 24/7 security operations environment with an accent on complex investigations, high-severity incident leadership, and AI-enabled security tooling. Focus on correlating large-scale security data, improving SIEM/SOAR detection and response, automating SOC processes, and mentoring junior analysts.
Location: Onsite in London, Swindon, or Walsall, United Kingdom, with an assigned office workspace

What you will do
- Monitor, investigate, triage, and respond to cybersecurity incidents in a 24/7/365 SOC environment.
- Lead high-severity and complex incidents while serving as an escalation point and subject matter expert for SOC analysts.
- Correlate alerts and log data across endpoints, applications, databases, identity systems, networks, mobile platforms, and cloud environments.
- Use SIEM, SOAR, threat intelligence, EDR/XDR, sandbox, and other security technologies to improve detection and response.
- Apply AI-enabled tools, automate repetitive SOC processes, reduce false positives, and improve operational efficiency.
- Refine security playbooks and mentor junior analysts while collaborating with technical and business teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of cybersecurity experience, particularly in SOC, incident response, and IT environments.
- Experience with SOAR, SIEM, threat intelligence platforms, identity systems, sandboxes, vulnerability management, and EDR/XDR tools.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, incident response, endpoints, applications, networks, databases, and cloud environments.
- Ability to perform advanced investigations, analyse large volumes of security events, and make decisions during complex or high-severity incidents.
- Experience in a 24/7 operational environment and willingness to participate in off-hours and on-call rotations.
- Strong communication, critical-thinking, analytical, problem-solving, adaptability, and attention-to-detail skills.
Nice to have
- GCIH, GCED, Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate, or CISSP certification.
