Security Operations Specialist (Cybersecurity)

Location: London and Liverpool, United Kingdom. Hybrid working model; office location listed as the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool.

What you will do

• Respond to escalated security incidents within agreed service-level timeframes and identify events requiring further investigation.
• Coordinate with third-party security service vendors on alert monitoring, triage, and incident handling.
• Analyse security reports, identify trends, and support strategies that improve secure behaviours across the business.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert within the Cyber Incident Response team.
• Maintain phishing campaigns, reporting, and remediation management.
• Maintain security tooling across multiple technology vendors and support security reviews of information systems and key infrastructure.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a Security Operations Centre.
• At least three years of experience in security operations or a technical security role, including attack paths, mitigations, incident response, and detection engineering.
• Strong understanding of SIEM, IAM, and DLP technologies and operational security requirements in Zero Trust networks.
• Experience managing operational security in an Azure and Microsoft 365-centric environment.
• Experience analysing cyber attacks using MITRE ATT&CK and other relevant frameworks.
• Ability to keep current with the evolving threat landscape; a relevant degree or industry certification is desirable.
