Senior Revenue Accountant

Location: New York, NY office with remote flexibility; occasional travel required. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

What you will do

• Own assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Prepare journal entries and detailed revenue-related balance sheet reconciliations.
• Analyze new revenue arrangements and recommend appropriate accounting treatment under relevant guidance.
• Maintain audit-ready workpapers and supporting schedules.
• Investigate revenue variances, validate reconciliations, and identify discrepancies using data analysis.
• Improve revenue accounting and billing workflows, including evaluating tools and implementing AI and automation solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including previous public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, month-end close, and audit processes; ASC 606 experience is preferred.
• Experience using data analysis to identify anomalies and validate financial data; SQL experience is preferred.
• Curiosity about AI and automation, with a record of implementing workflow improvements.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience with modern accounting systems such as Campfire, QuickBooks, or NetSuite.
• Healthcare, health-tech, or telehealth experience.
